In spring 2024, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advises that a COVID-19 vaccine should be offered to:
- adults aged 75 years and over
- residents in a care home for older adults
- individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed
For patients aged 75 years and over, and those individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, will be able to book an appointment for a vaccination via the national booking service or calling 119 free of charge to book over the phone. Local vaccination information about Covid can be found by visiting www.sussex.ics.nhs.uk/your-care/healthy-living/long-covid-support-service/.
Vaccinations for this cohort are planned to begin on Monday 22nd April 2024.
Vaccinations are not being offered at the surgery.
If you have any queries please call 119 and not the surgery as we do not have any more information than what is published on the local vaccination website.
